G-20 Meeting

On November 29, ADA MUN Club took an initiative to hold a simulation game of this legendary G20 Summit with the participation of experienced MUNers. G20 Summit is panel for discussion of world leaders on all current issues concerning its members’. Group of Twenty (G20) consists of 19 states and European Union, and last meeting of G20 was held in Antalya under the Presidency of Turkey this year.

During the event the participants had chance to discuss liberalization of international trade, sovereign debt restructuring, joining of Chinese currency into IMF’s SDR reserve basket and all other issues necessary to promote global economic growth.

At the end of the meeting, G20 countries accepted Communiqué, sharing common concerns and solutions proposed. In the final document, G-20 leaders commit themselves to put more focus on the policies targeting sustainable growth, to fight against economic inequality within their states and to cooperate on liberalization of international market.

It is worth to note that the simulation of G20 Summit is only organized only by no more than 10 universities around the World.
